OP Announcing the Acquisition of RemedyConnect and NextStep Solutions
Office Practicum (OP), who acquired NextStep Solutions in 2019, has officially announced its recent acquisition of RemedyConnect, a digital healthcare delivery company that offers ways for providers to attract new patients and expand access to care. Together, our three organizations can provide advanced services to support the full spectrum of care, from foundational early childhood through to adulthood. Full Acquisition Message:
In 2019, Office Practicum acquired NextStep Solutions to meet the behavioral health needs of children and their parents.
For over 35 years, OP has offered a market-leading pediatric EHR, practice management, and revenue cycle set of solutions. Last year especially, but for many years now, OP has seen that the needs of pediatric patients are no longer fully physical. This winter, prompted by spikes in pediatric mental health emergencies and suicide attempts, the AAP declared the pediatric mental health crisis a “national emergency.”
While our mission has always been to drive clinical and operational success specifically for behavioral health agencies, NSS and OP’s EHR technologies are complementary. OP is expanding its portfolio to create a new suite of solutions that focus on integrating behavioral and physical healthcare from birth and early childhood through to adulthood. We are excited to leverage our behavioral health expertise with the OP team, develop our functionality, and expand our presence in behavioral health as part of the OP umbrella.
As part of the OP family of companies, we are excited to announce the newest member: RemedyConnect, a digital healthcare delivery company that offers ways for providers to attract new patients and expand access to care. Their portfolio of offerings includes a telehealth solution, an after-hours answering service, and marketing services. Our NextStep Product and Development teams will be leveraging RemedyConnect’s technologies to augment our current behavioral health products and begin developing new solutions.
